Bio

Ariel Parnell is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in gastroenterology, adult gerontology primary care, and women’s health. A Florida native from Lake City, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida before pursuing her nursing education in Birmingham, AL. There, she completed both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing.

Since 2018, Ariel has been practicing as a nurse practitioner in gastroenterology, bringing a patient-centered approach to care. She joined Digestive Disease Associates in the fall of 2023 and is passionate about educating her patients on their disease process, treatment plans, and care goals. Ensuring that each patient leaves their appointment with a clear understanding of their health is a top priority for her.

Outside work, Ariel enjoys reading, watching movies, and binge-watching a good TV show—especially on rainy days. She also loves spending time with her two cats, Coupe and Corvette, who provide endless amusement. She cherishes moments with her family, friends, and significant other.
