Our Office

Welcome to Digestive Disease Associates!

For more than 30 years, Digestive Disease Associates has been setting the standard for gastrointestinal and hepatological care in North Florida. Our mission is to provide comprehensive, compassionate, specialty medical care of the highest quality for patients with gastrointestinal and liver disease, by working individually and in concert with other health professionals and organizations.

Practice Hours and Appointments

Our office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We are closed on major holidays.

For the convenience of all patients, we operate on an appointment basis, so please call ahead to reserve a time for us to see you. Our office telephone number is 352-331-8902.

We make every effort to honor all time commitments, and you play an important role in helping us achieve that goal. Please plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment to complete all required forms. Also, be sure to request medical records from your primary care physician and referring physician well in advance of your appointment.

On occasion, your physician may need to attend to an emergency that could impact your appointment. We will make every effort to notify you as soon as possible of any changes. To cancel your appointment, kindly give at least 48 hours notice.

Questions?

We encourage you to call with any questions you may have regarding gastrointestinal medical problems. The office staff has been trained to answer many of your inquiries and to communicate information to your physician. Your call will be returned or otherwise answered at the first opportunity. Should you choose to leave a message on our office voicemail system for your physician’s Team Leader, please include your name, date of birth, phone number, and the reason for your call.

A Digestive Disease Associates physician is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you find it necessary to contact us after normal office hours, our answering service will forward all messages to our on-call physician. Your call will be returned at the earliest opportunity. Should your call not be returned by the next business day, please call our office again.

All DDA providers are credentialed and have full privileges at North Florida Regional Medical Center (NFRMC). NFRMC is a full-service medical and surgical acute care center serving 14 counties.

Clinical Research

Our practice occasionally participates in research projects that help to advance medical science. At the same time, we are committed to protecting our patients’ privacy. When disclosing information to researchers, we require that their research be approved by an institution review board that has reviewed the research proposal and established protocols to ensure the privacy of individual patient health information.
